Vietnam -nord til sør- tar deg med på en spennende og opplevelsesrik reise gjennom hele Vietnam. Vi starter i Hanoi der dere får et innblikk i hovedstadens historie og kultur, samt oppleve dagliglivet på nært hold. Fortsetter reisen til Ha Long Bay der dere skal delta på et fantastisk cruise i den vakre bukten.

Videre til det vakre og sjarmerende stedet Hoi An, her har vi lagt inn en dag med opplevelser samt 1 fridag.

Neste stopp er Ho Chi Minh City eller Saigon som byen fortsatt kalles. Her skal dere bl.a. besøke Cu Chi tunnelene. En dag på Mekong-deltaet opplever dere fra en sampan, denne mektige elven bugner av tropiske frukter og regnes som Vietnams spiskammer nr. 1.

Hele reisen avsluttes for noen avslappende dager på Phu Quoc Island (kan velges bort eller forandres).

Arriving in Hanoi, the local guide will meet you at the airport upon arrival. A short drive (45’) to the hotel for check in and relax after the flight (Note: room check in time is 14.00)

In the afternoon, our guide takes you into the center of the city for a walking tour. The guide will shows you the Old Town and Hanoi’s hustle and bustle.

Next, enjoy the city’s Water Puppet Show, a unique North Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. The story is told using puppets that moves on the water.

This evening, we will give you a taste of Vietnam, a wonderful welcome dinner awaits you at one of Hanoi’s excellent restaurants.

After a good breakfast at hotel, the day starts with visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh – the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and afternoons due to closure. The Mausoleum also closed during Sep and Oct for annual maintenance), and his house on stilts. This complex also comprises the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city.

Continue visit Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature and Vietnam’s first university) which was built in the 11th century.

After lunch at a local restaurant we head to Hanoi’s bustling market where we walk around and inhale the very special atmosphere of the place. People come here from far and nearby villages to sell their wares.

The rest of the afternoon/evening is free at leisure (no guide, no transfer).

At 9.00 AM, depart from your hotel in Hanoi. Take a car drive to Ha Long Bay, one of the World Natural Heritages recognized by UNESCO with thousands of spectacular limestone islands rising from the clear, emerald sea in the Gulf of Tonkin.

Upon arrival, welcome aboard. Enjoy welcome drink before check in at your cabin. While the junk is passing many rocky islets, caves, floating villages and beaches, your lunch will be served on board with fresh seafood. Relax on the sundeck. Later on, the junk moves a quiet area to dock for overnight stay.
Dinner with Vietnamese food is served on board.

Wake up early in the morning and join a Tai Chi class on sun deck, the junk start to cruise around Ha Long Bay, passes by many islets named by their shapes such as Dog, Incense Urn, Fighting Cock, Finger, etc.

Breakfast or brunch is served while the junk continues cruising towards the wharf.

After disembarkation, your vehicle is ready to take you back to the airport for the evening flight to Da Nang.

Upon arrival Da Nang, a new guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel in Hoi An (40’ drive) for check-in.

Today is fulfilled with interesting activities. At 8.30, start your day with a short transfer from hotel to the cycling point.

Leisurely pedal through peaceful villages, passing water coconut forest, and rice fields. Stop anytime to interact with the locals you interest or capture nice shots of tranquil Hoi An.

Arrive Thanh Dong organic vegetable farm, the friendly farmers will invite you green tea while sharing local organic planting techniques. Hands-on, experience some gardening activities like preparing and applying organic manure to the land, raking the ground, sowing, watering and picking vegetables.

Before reaching the restaurant settled in the rice field, a relaxing basket boat ride along the Do River gives you chance to observe how local fishermen catch fish. Your discovery finish with Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancake) cooking demonstration, and enjoy tasty lunch with Vietnamese dishes.

Return to the hotel to relax. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

You will have a whole day free for exploring Hoi An Ancient Town for shopping or having made-to-order clothes made. Or the beach is close by and sun beds are ready for you.

Today after breakfast we leave Hoi An for Da Nang where you take a domestic flight heading south to Ho Chi Minh City (also known as “Saigon”). Landing after an hour’s flight, meet by our local guide and transfer to city centre.

Take a «get to know stroll around town» visit Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the old post office. Also a stop at the big market in town, Ben Thanh.

Transfer to your hotel to check-in and free in afternoon/evening.

After a good breakfast at the hotel we take you to the famous Cu Chi tunnels, 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Created since 1948 to assist the Viet Minh to combat the French.

This is an underground hiding places with living areas, kitchens, storage rooms, weapon factories, field hospitals and command centers.

During the Vietnam War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a fire free zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of the tunnels have been opened for visitors.

Back to your hotel at noon time. Rest of the day free to explore the city on your own

Leave bustling Saigon behind in the morning, head out to un-touched areas not well-known by tourists in Ben Tre.

Board the Apricot Cruise, featuring a new boat design open on all sides to allow the river breezes to flow freely.

From the comfort of your Apricot Cruise, meander down the Mekong observing local life play out along the river banks. Stop at some local families and see how local traditional methods utilize every bit of the coconut. Learn how to make local cakes, and why you don’t let a local fortune-teller tell you what is supposed to happen in the future.

It is a full day of interesting experiences: boat rowing through winding water-coconut canals, bike riding along lush rural roads, sampling tasty local cakes, tea with honey, and enjoying lunch served with Mekong specialties at Apricot Riverside Restaurant.

In the afternoon, return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, enjoy your last morning free in Ho Chi Minh City until check out time at 12.00 p.m.

Driver picks up you from your hotel’s lobby 3 hours prior your flight time for a transfer to Tan San Nhat international airport for your departure flight.
